Recipe: Strawberry Hard Candy (딸기 사탕)

Hello everyone~

Today I am going to share how to make a simple and delicious Korean street food
called Strawberry Hard Candy (딸기 사탕) to all of you! This is an interesting way to eat your fresh strawberries, so I highly recommend you to try this recipe especially if you want to try something new ^^

Ingredients:

- 15 strawberries.
- 8 tbsp of sugar.
- 4 tbsp of water.
- 5 Bamboo skewers.

Wash the strawberries well and pat dry with a paper towel. Please note that it is very important to get rid of any excess water.

Cut off the stems and leaves. Put the strawberries to the bamboo skewers one by one, and you can put three to five strawberries on each skewer.

Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan~

Boil it over low-medium heat until the sugar dissolves, and let it boil for 6 to 8 minutes until the sugar thickens.

This step is quite tricky because it can be too hard or too soft, and please be careful because it is very hot (I burned my finger ouch!)

Turn off the heat and coat the strawberries with the sugar syrup using a spoon, and hold them for about 1 minutes until they become hard. You can ask anyone near you to help you do this thing lol :P

And you have to do this step quickly because the sugar syrup will become hard very quickly, and it is quite tricky to coat them evenly. So.. these are my failed strawberries ughhh >__<

I decided to upload this picture because I want to show you the fact that I am not really that good at cooking lol. Usually I would try to cook the new recipes for a few times before I share them on my blog, but this time I took all these pictures on my first try because this recipe seems very easy to make, so yeah I was kinda underestimating it ughh but honestly they taste so good lol I am not lying xD

You have to eat them within an hour or two because the hard candy will become sticky. And trust me, these are so delicious! The outside is crunchy along with the soft strawberry inside omg I am sure you will be addicted~ And oh, you can also use different kind of fruits such as grapes, orange slices, pineapple, etc.
Yeah I know, it is much better to eat fresh fruits without any sugar, but I am sure it would not hurt to eat once in a while la kkk~

And if you happen to try one of these recipes, I would love to see yours,
so please send me the picture on Instagram or Twitter! Thank you <3

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day, girls ^^

See ya~

  7. Tbsp itu apa la? Nah, aku bisa nih praktekin cara ini karena ga repot. Kebetulan aku suka strawberry. Sayangnya buah strawberry di Palembang rasanya asem. Coba ah di mix pake gula agar rasa asem pada buahnya ga berasa sekali.
