Recipe: Korean Egg Toast (계란 토스트)

Hello everyone!
Today I am going to share how to make a delicious Korean street food to all of you, called Gyeran Toseuteu (계란 토스트) which is basically Korean egg toast. And this is my current favorite breakfast food, because it is super easy to make and it tastes so yummy~

For 3 servings~

Ingredients:
- 6 slices white bread
- 1 1/2 tbsp salted butter
- 12 slices cucumber
- 1/4 tbsp sugar
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise (optional)
Egg omelet:
- 3 eggs
- 3 tbsp chopped cabbage
- 3 tbsp grated carrot
- Half an onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Olive oil

Break 3 eggs in a bowl, add 1/4 tsp of salt, and beat the eggs with a fork.

Add the chopped cabbage, grated carrot and chopped onion into the egg mixture.
Mix it well~

Add 1 tbsp of olive oil in a heated pan, and fry the egg mixture for about 2 to 3 minutes
on each side. Make 3 portions.

Melt 1/2 tbsp of butter in a pan.

Toast both sides of the bread over low to medium heat for about 3 minutes. You can also toast your bread with an electric toaster for a healthier option~

When the toasted bread is still warm, sprinkle some sugar (half of 1/4 tbsp) on it. Psst.. just for your information, the secret ingredient for this yummy Korean toast is the sugar! Actually they use brown sugar, but I prefer to use granulated white sugar instead.

Put the egg omelet on the bread, and you can also cut the edge of the omelet to make a nice shape if you want.

Then place 4 slices of cucumber on the omelet evenly~
You can add more or less depending on your taste.

Add some ketchup and mayonnaise (or mustard) on top. And you can add some hot sauce if you want~

And don't forget to sprinkle the remaining sugar on top..

Top with another toasted bread and cut the sandwich in half to serve~
And this recipe is for 3 servings, so repeat the same process to make the rest of the sandwiches.

I really love this toast because this is super tasty omg, I am not lying! xD
And actually you don't have to eat this toast only for breakfast la.. you can eat this for lunch or anytime you want as a snack kkk~

And oh.. if you do try one of these recipes, I would love to see your cooking creations,
so please send me a picture or tag me on Instagram or Twitter! Thank you <3

So.. have you ever tried this toast before? ^^

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

See ya~
