Actually I did not have too many eyeshadows from Korean beauty brands in my eyeshadow collection, I do not know why but I was very hesitant to try them, well I mean.. in my opinion, they did not look pigmented and too shimmery for my makeup style.
I am not a big fan of shimmery eyeshadow, you know! But I got a chance to try this
Etude House Dear My Blooming Eyes Palette, and I got it from Etude Time 3 event in Surabaya last February.
So, this palette is one of the products from their 'Dear My' collection. The packaging is super duper uper cute as usual. And as you can see, the design of the box is similiar to one of their lip-products, Etude House Dear My Essence in Lips-Talk~
Description : (taken from en.koreadepart.com)
- 4COLOR multi eye shadow for blooming eyes.
- Contains glitter and amplifies delicate illumination and glow of eyes.
- Fits to eyes thinly and perfectly for long.
- Creates cubic effect on eyes.
So, this palette is available in 6 different shades:
OR201 Coral Blush Shy, PK001 Quivering Pink, OR202 Vibrant Orange, BR401 Gold Brown, PP501 Purple, and BR402 Beige Brown.
And as you can see.. I got mine in BR401, known as 'Miss You Again And Again Gold Brown'.
And you will find some instructions on how to create the complete eye-makeup look on the back of the box. It is great for a beginner who can not read Hangeul. But honestly, I have never tried to follow those instructions lol maybe later~ XD
And it comes in a pink plastic-but-sturdy compact, embossed with Etude House logo and a heart carriage design with a crown. It is so pretty and princessy, as I expected from Etude House ^^
When you open it, you will find a quite-big mirror inside, and it is very useful and convenient for me~
And it comes with two sponge applicators as well. Actually I have tried the applicators twice, and their qualities are quite good, unlike those twopenny-halfpenny applicators! But yeah after all, I still prefer to use my eye brushes lol XD
So.. each palette consists of four colors. And BR401 comes with a shimmery beige shade, a shimmery copper brown shade, a shimmery gold shade, and a shimmery dark brown shade.
And surprisingly, they were so soft and smooth when I touched them with my fingers for the first time. The texture is quite buttery, so.. it glides on smoothly and very easy to blend.
As you can see in the pictures below.. they are not too pigmented but it is still buildable, and the staying power is just so-so. I think you might need an eyeshadow primer to intensify the color, and here I am using NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone.
But unfortunately I did not really like this palette, I really hate some of the fall out during application, and I have always found some glitters on my cheeks and around my eyes after application!! So, I recommend you to do the eye-makeup first, before face-makeup to prevent some fall out. Yeah that is the reason why I rarely use this eyeshadow palette!
And oh.. even after you remove your eye-makeup, you still can notice some glitters on your face, and it is super annoying mehh!! -___-
But if you are a fan of shimmery eyeshadow, then you should grab this palette too! Because this palette is very affordable and the colors are very pretty~
Well.. as a cute-packaging junkie, I am still quite satisfied with this palette lol XD
So, have you ever tried this palette??
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day, girls ^^
