Review: Holika Holika Pig-nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit

Hello everyone~
Sorry I could not update my blog too often lately, because I am quite busy to prepare the attributes for my college orientation next month duh! But today I have a new review to all of you, and this time I am going to review a pore strip from Holika Holika, called Pig-nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit!

Well, this Holika Holika 3-Step Kit is one of the products from their 'Pig-nose Clear Blackhead' line. And it contains three different nose strips to open your pores, remove the blackheads, and minimize your pores.

Description : (source)
Did you know there are no blackheads on the nose of a pig? And guess what else? You don't have to either! Say goodbye to your blackheads with Pig Nose Clear series. This series gets rid of blackheads that are deep-rooted in pores and makes your nose soft and fair. Pig Nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit contains all three steps necessary for perfect pore control. The first step opens your pores to allow for easy blackhead removal and cleaning. The second step eliminates all waste and removes even the deepest blackheads. The third step minimizes the pores for a fresh and smooth look and feel.

Ingredients :
Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Erythritol, Trehalose, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonium (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantifola (Lime) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum).

Umm actually I forgot how much I paid for this 3-Step Kit, because I bought it four months ago. But now you can purchase it only for 1600 Won on Tester Korea!

- After cleansing, place Step-1 on the nose for about 15 to 20 minutes. -

The sheet of this 'nose mask' is actually the same as a regular facial sheet mask. The consistency of the essence is very watery, drippy, and it does not sticky at all. It has a strong floral scent, and it also has a nice soothing effect on my nose. I left it on for 20 minutes.

- Wet nose with water and place Step-2 on nose for about 10 to 15 minutes -

The second step is actually a regular pore strip that we usually use, and it fits perfectly on my nose. I left it on longer.. for about 20 minutes, until it was completely dry.

Place Step-3 on nose for about 5 to 10 minutes, and gently tap it for better absorption -

The texture of this 'nose patch' is kind of gel-like, which is very similar like Korean lip gel patches. It smells quite strong, and it has a cooling sensation on my nose. I left it on for about 10 minutes.. And unfortunately, it feels quite sticky ugh!

Now let's talk about the first step and the third step, which they claimed to open and close the pores! Honestly I did not notice any difference in the size of my pores. I think they were useless, and they did not really help to open and close my pores, so I prefer to use the regular pore strip rather than this kind of 3-step kit, because it is much faster to use.

And about the second step, which is the actual pore strip. Unfortunately it does not remove that much, and some of my blackheads are still there. And once again I will repeat my words.. it means that the first step did not really help to get more blackheads out!

I do not know why but Biore pore strips always broke me out on my nose area, that is why I rarely use pore strips because of this trauma lol. But fortunately this one did not break me out, and no redness or irritation, although I have some zits on my nose at the time.

But overall.. it did not work very well and I would not repurchase this 3-Step Kit, because it took me about 50 minutes to use this one, while the final result was exactly the same like the regular pore strip which only took about 15 minutes. And oh, the regular pore strip is much cheaper as well haha.

So, let me know what is your favorite pore strip in the comment section below!

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day, girls ^^

I will see you in my next post

  2. wow I read other reviews about this pore strips and they all seemed to like them >.<; I honestly think this pore strip set is a bit overpriced if it isn't even working well lol. I usually use porestrips from Nivea. They're quite good and smell good as well. You should give them a try someday ^-^*

  5. Aw, I'm sorry it didn't really work! I find biore pore pack and The Face shop pore strips work the best! The face shops one is very strong and is painful when you take it out but so much gunk comes out!

  6. I've tried this product before! I think it's so-so too in my opinion haha it's a real bummer that it didn't work for you. Have you tried the Biore pore strips? I think they're a better (and much cheaper alternative). :)

  8. Hi Lala, nice to catch your blog. Nice layout and cute design. About pore strip, that's super wasting time on me. Sorry to say that. It's because my pores are big and scattered and blackheads appear almost every other day. I have to extract them every other day and that's the only thing that works. Any chemical job doesn't do on me, only mechanical extraction does.
